Advanced Spindle Technology

The PX30i’s unique preload self-adjusting spindle enables heavy-duty cutting at low speeds and high-precision rotation at high speeds with minimal heat generation. At low speeds, a large preload ensures rigidity for tough cutting, while at higher speeds, the preload is optimized automatically based on spindle bearing heat. This allows precise machining of highly hardened steel and use of helix end mills that generate thrust-reversing forces — tasks requiring exceptional spindle control and stability.

Innovative Rotary Table and Thermal Management

The newly developed tilting rotary table maximizes reliability and eliminates redundancy. Driven by direct drive motors, it provides rapid, accurate positioning and smooth interpolation. The pallet cradle is supported by a large rotor bearing on the motor side and a rigid bearing on the other, ensuring stability. Coolant circulates through B and C-axis motors and bearings to minimize thermal displacement, while the pallet clamp system’s reliable air release method delivers strong clamping force, enhancing cutting capacity and overall performance.
